Sketchcrawl
I attended the big benefit Skectchcrawl for Emergency this past Saturday. There was a huge gathering this time. We followed the same path as the first sketchcrawl and it was amazing. Alot of hoofing involved and admittedly I spent more time doing that than sketching, but I managed a few pics. Enrico and Ronnie did an amazing job coordinating the event (as usual). Here are some drawings and pics from the event. Pop on by the Sketchcrawl site to see more stuff.
We all gathered at the Ferry building at the Embarcadero
Quite a line of sketchcrawlers this time.
And here are some sketches I did. I wish I'd gotten a chance to paint them. I think I will anyway just for fun/practice.

Potential projects on the horizon
Now that I've finished production on Ratatioulle, and things have calmed down a bit, my mind has turned towards the pursuit of personal projects. I've got a lot of ideas floating around my head, and I realized that I needed to focus my efforts if I have any hope to complete anything. To that end I sat down and made of list of all of my ideas, and my goals and then prioritized them. I found this to be invaluable and with it, came up with a rough schedule for the year. Now the hard work begins. I'll keep you posted on things and I look forward to your comments.
The Wire

Hey! I'm back again. I took a bit of a hiatus while I struggled to play catch up at work, but I just couldn't stay away. I thought I'd drop another post in here just because I got all misty eyed looking at the same tired old blog entry for weeks upon weeks. I haven't been able to do too much aside from work these days, but one of the things I've been doing is watching a bunch of tv shows on DVDs. Well actually just one in particular. The Wire. I can't say enough good things about this show. I LOVE IT! The show is so compelling, the characters so three dimensional I'd go so far as to say it's one of the best shows I've seen on TV... period! Now this is of course my humble opinion, you're more than free to disagree, but if you haven't seen it, check it out. I borrowed all 3 seasons from my friend and I've been GLUED to my television. I've finished them all in a little over a week and I'm dying to see more. It's a show that makes me think... about a lot of things. Watch it!
Sketchcrawl
So I attended my first Sketchcrawl... FINALLY! I've been trying to check one of the out for about as long as I've know about them. (And I've known about them almost as long as they've been held!) Something always seemed to pop up, or my schedule never seemed to match. Well I'm glad I did it, because even tho' it was kinda rainy and cold, it was a lot of fun. I got a few decent sketches and I hung out with a lot of cool people. One of the best part was trading sketchbooks at the end. There's a lot of talented people out there. (I was particularly blown away by Ronnie's and Emma's sketchbook. Whoo man!) I'll definitely be doing this again. Thanks Enrico for hooking this up. I'll post a few of my sketches later.
